Mayor Villaraigosa speaks at LA Arts month

I photographed the 2nd annual LA Arts Month opening on Jan. 5th at the Disney Concert Hall downtown LA. There were a lot of movers and shakers there in our local arts community and it was nice to hear the the mayor was in such support of the local art scene. This event lasts the month of January and is designed to encourage locals to visit our musuems, art galleries and theaters. So after you’ve seen Avatar for the hundredth time, go see a play and support your local artists!

Kylie Bisutti wins 2009 Victorias Secret Supermodel Search

We’re so excited for our July bride Kylie Bisutti who has just become Victoria Secret’s latest supermodel! Kylie was crowned the latest Victoria’s Secret angel on the lingerie company’s televised runway show Tuesday night, ending months of competition with over 10,000 women across the country vying to be the next lingerie superstar.

We had the pleasure of photographing Kylie and Mike’s wedding a few months ago in Cabo and had a wonderful time. We’re very excited for her new career as a VS supermodel. Congratulations Kylie!

We’re really excited that the Lakers won tonight! It was really cool to see our client Joey Buss accept The Larry O’Brien trophy. We had the privilege of photographing Joey’s wedding last year which was an incredible wedding.

Senior Portraits

This year we have decided to incorporate High School Senior Portraits into our fall lineup. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and in High School, we’d come to Hollywood on the weekends because we thought it was cool. I don’t think it was that cool now, but at least it was much different from the burbs.

Our marketing approach is simple with High School Seniors. Be different. Get out of the burbs and into the city where we can take some unique pictures that stand out from the traditional posed studio portraits that are just so overdone. When Shelby arrived, we drove down to Hollywood Blvd where we saw the Incredible Hulk just walking down a side street carrying his head in his arms. We turned down another street looking for parking and there was Superman walking to the post office. This is Hollywood. Surreal. Different. Fun.
